As an artist one of the biggest obstacles we found was the only way to get a really good sound and online video was to go through a professional blogger or expensive production companies. 9 out of 10 online quality live sessions are from big blogs or youth podcast channels such as SBTV, getting noticed by these big sites often only happens when you have established yourself or are signed.

The best things come in threes

Building an audience and fan base through online content is about consistence. Although we can provide you with one-off videos we advise that you shoot a minimum of three at once, this allows for you to have content ready that you can put out in cycles so that your fans can have something to look forward to and have a constant stream of content coming from you.

EPK

The electronic press kit is a great tool for artists to have to send to industry contacts be it promoters, agents, management or labels.

You can showcase new material you want to share with industry but not with your fan base, a place where people can download all of your up to date promotional pictures in hi-res, videos and your most up to date bio as well as all of your social site links.

EPKs also often have a short interview with the artist/band outlining what the act is about, current projects and where they are going. EPKs are the perfect tool to send out and make first contact with the music and entertainment industry.
